The peninsula of Varadero is the most visited part of Cuba; each week a lot of charter flights arrive from Canada and Europe in addition to a number of scheduled flights. Varadero is well-known for its marvelous beaches and nice hotels, many of which are all-inclusive. Local Cubans have in general no access to the hotel areas of Varadero, so this is not a destination for enjoying Cuban culture and daily life.
